Blake | Analog Series :: Fuji 100B-45

Wow! Its been a long time since I have blogged! I think I'm going to have to call my self out & publicly commit to posting at least once a week. I always have ideas for posts & plenty of new work to show so maybe this will give me the motivation I need to keep this thing alive.

-Moving on. So I have posted here before that I'm always shooting film & playing with different camera formats, which of course brings me to the topic of this post: Experimenting with instant films. I wanted to share a new film I have been playing with: Fuji 100B-45, a ISO 100 black & white 4X5 pack film, one pack holding ten images. And I have to say this stuff is absolutely beautiful! Producing rich & contrasty prints straight out of the camera! With the big bonus being that its not finicky with temperature or time like other instant films. Unfortunately you cant pull a good negative from it like the Fuji 100C45, but it does scan well! Now for the bad news, Fuji has apparently discontinued it! I had heard that Fuji's instant film sales were up, but with everything that has happened in Japan the future is any ones guess!

The two images here are of a client of mine/fellow photographer & now good friend, Blake Sellers. Of course these were both shot on Fuji 100B-45.

Lighting - Main light: 20 degree grid spot. Edge light: 2 strip box's. Fill: on-axis silver reflective umbrella.
